A total of 62 companies from 23 European countries have made the finals, of few hundred entries attracted from 32 countries. S&T Serbia won this recognition thanks to the successful implementation of a project whose demands represented a significant challenge to the whole national IT community – the eGovernment portal.
S&T implemented a national Internet portal for the Serbian government, helping to make communications between citizens and public authorities more accessible and efficient. This solution represents a unique access point for providing electronic public services for citizens, businesses and officials. Each user can fill in electronic forms, sign them digitally, pay taxes and use more than 50 different online services. This number will rise to over 500 during the next two years.
“The fact that we are for the second year in a row among the finalists is a great success and also a recognition for all of us who are dealing with information technology in Serbia. This is a major European prize and it is our great honor that the commitment from the entire team who worked on the e-Government was rewarded. This project is among the top customer solutions in Europe now”, stated Predrag Vranes, Country Manager at S&T Serbia.
